Clourou

Discord

Run a scheduled AI agent on your Discord — unattended.

CommunicationAPI key

Automate Discord by giving your Clourou routines a scheduled AI agent that works your servers on a cadence. It can post to channels, read recent message history, and keep guilds tidy — turning recurring, judgment-shaped work like drafting daily recaps or triaging activity into something that runs on a schedule without you lifting a finger.

What you can automate

  • Daily channel digest: Summarize the past 24 hours of discussion in a busy channel and post the recap every morning.
  • Standup prompts: Drop a scheduled message into your team channel each weekday to kick off async standups.
  • Server activity report: Pull the channels and members from your guilds and post a weekly health snapshot.
  • Stale invite cleanup: Resolve outstanding invite codes on a cadence and flag any that are expired or overused.
  • Announcement relay: Pull an update from another connected tool on a schedule and post a formatted announcement to your Discord channel.

Connecting

There's no one-click Discord connector yet — the available Discord MCP servers are community-built and self-hosted rather than a hosted endpoint. To use one with Clourou: create a Discord bot (for its token), run a Discord MCP server on an always-on host with that token, then add its public HTTPS URL on the Connections page as a Custom MCP server. Since routines run unattended, the server has to stay reachable — a local-only setup won't work for scheduled runs.

Frequently asked questions

Can a scheduled AI agent post messages to Discord automatically?

Yes. Once a Discord MCP server is connected, a Clourou routine can post to channels on the cadence you set — daily digests, standup prompts, or scheduled announcements — without you triggering each run.

Can Clourou summarize a Discord channel and email me the recap?

Yes. A routine can read recent channel history, have the agent summarize it, and deliver the recap in-app and by email if you opt in to delivery for that routine.

What access does Clourou need to automate Discord?

You connect a Discord bot token via a self-hosted Discord MCP server. The bot only has the permissions and server access you grant it, so it can act only in the channels and guilds you invite it to.

Does the Discord agent run on a schedule without me?

Yes. Routines run unattended on the cron cadence you choose, as long as the Discord MCP server stays reachable on an always-on host. A local-only server that goes offline won't work for scheduled runs.

What can't a scheduled agent do with Discord?

It's bounded by what the Discord MCP server and your bot's permissions expose — typically posting, reading recent history, and basic server management. It can't do things Discord's API or your bot scopes don't allow, and it works best on text and structured data rather than voice or live moderation.
