ZeroBounce credit balance alert

Every morning, check your ZeroBounce credit balance and only email you when it drops below your threshold — so a low balance never quietly stalls a validation run, with a usage summary to show how fast you're burning through credits.

Works with
The instructions
Every day at 7am, check my ZeroBounce credit balance and warn me before I run out.

1. Get my current ZeroBounce credit balance.

2. Pull my API usage for the last 7 days to see how fast I'm spending — total validations and the daily average. Use that average to estimate how many days of credits I have left at the current pace.

3. Decide whether to alert: treat anything below 5,000 credits remaining (or under ~10 days of runway at the recent pace, whichever comes first) as low. If the balance is healthy, keep it to a single reassuring line. If it's low, make it clearly an alert: lead with the remaining balance, the estimated days left, and a direct nudge to top up.

Round numbers sensibly. If the balance comes back as -1, that means the API key is invalid — say so plainly and tell me to check the connection rather than guessing at numbers.
What a run emails you
⚠️ ZeroBounce credits running low

4,180 credits left — about 8 days at your current pace. Time to top up.

Last 7 days
• Validations — 3,640 (≈520/day)

At ~520/day you'll run out around Wed 8 Jul. Top up in your ZeroBounce dashboard to avoid a stalled validation run.

How it works

  • Attach your ZeroBounce connection (paste your API key on the Connections page). Each morning the routine reads your live credit balance and your recent API usage, then only emails you when the balance crosses your low-water mark — so it's silent when things are fine and loud when they're not.
  • It turns raw usage into runway: by averaging your last 7 days of validations it estimates how many days of credits you have left, which is the number that actually tells you when to act.
  • It's read-only — checking balance and usage costs no validation credits — and it catches an invalid key (a balance of -1) and tells you to reconnect instead of reporting nonsense.

Make it yours

  • Set your own threshold — raise it if a single campaign burns tens of thousands of credits, lower it if you top up in small amounts.
  • Switch it to weekly if your volume is steady, or keep it daily around big sends and imports when you're spending fastest.
  • Fold it into a broader morning ops digest, or keep it standalone so a low-credit alert never gets buried.

Your connection stays yours: your API key is encrypted at rest, and this routine only reads your balance and usage — it never validates, sends, or changes anything.
