- It's read-only — checking balance and usage costs no validation credits — and it catches an invalid key (a balance of -1) and tells you to reconnect instead of reporting nonsense.

- Set your own threshold — raise it if a single campaign burns tens of thousands of credits, lower it if you top up in small amounts.
- Switch it to weekly if your volume is steady, or keep it daily around big sends and imports when you're spending fastest.
